What's going on with music these days?
These days, all people seem to do is put song out that only appeal to the commercial part of the business. Not many
modern songs seem to have any meaning thsee days either. What happened?
And I know that some people might like this type of music, and I have nothing against them. But so much of this commercial tuneage has been listened to that they're surprised when they meet someone who listens to the older stuff.
You say Justin Bieber, I say Elvis Presley.
You say Owl City, I say Queen.
You say Eminem, I say The Beatles.
You say Ceelo Green, I say Michael Jackson.

Might get grilled for this, sure, but if that's what happens when I state my honest opinion, so be it.
Whatever music you listen to is your bag, but now you know why some people listen to the older stuff: there's actual meaning to it and no 2 artists are the same in how they use them. They're a bit more unique that way.
